Classical Concert with Russell Watson
One of the world’s greatest classical singers, Russell Watson has famously been described by the New York Times as a performer “who sings like Pavarotti and entertains the audience like Sinatra”. Since finding success as the winner of a local radio talent competition, he has released ten studio albums (his debut “The Voice” spending a record 52 weeks at the number one spot) and has performed for some of the world’s most prestigious figures. These include; The Queen, The late Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles, the late Pope John Paul II who requested a private audience with Russell at the Vatican, and former US presidents Bill Clinton and George W Bush.
His performances in stage shows have also earned him great critical acclaim, he played Parson Nathaniel in Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds tour and played the lead role of Karl Oscar in Benny and Björn’s (ABBA) Kristina. Russell is a patron for a plethora of charities and has raised millions of pounds for The Prince’s Trust, the Katy Holmes Trust and The Kirsty Club.

Powerhouse Performance by Lulu
Lulu has been in the music business for 51 years. Yet she seems utterly undimmed by time, slim, vivacious and energetic, with an appealing combination of bright-eyed sprightliness and a very adult, no-nonsense directness. From humble roots to worldwide stardom, since bursting into the limelight at 15, Lulu has achieved a career bursting with musical highlights. These include performing at Eurovision, recording the Bond theme The Man with The Golden Gun, performing in Rock and Blues clubs all over the USA, taking to the stage at Glastonbury, performing with Take That on all their Greatest Hits Live stadium and arena UK dates and touring the country during her most recent “On Fire” tour.
She has been such a fixture of the British entertainment landscape for so long now, she is not particularly defined by her musicality. She has sung at the Eurovision, hosted a Saturday night light entertainment TV show, acted in films, in West-End theatre and television and sold her own brand of make-up.

Comedy Performance with Jimmy Tarbuck OBE
Jimmy Tarbuck is a famous British comedian who has been working the stand-up comedy circuit for more than fifty years, beginning as a TV entertainer in the 1960’s, and became notorious in the 1980’s as a prominent supporter of Conservative Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, for whom he acted as comic relief, after dinner speaker and even baker, making her a cake for her birthday. As an entertainer, Jimmy Tarbuck OBE is known for his distinctive stand-up comedy style. He made his first television appearance as the host of Its Tarbuck 65! From here Jimmy went on to host numerous quiz shows, including Winner Takes All, Full Swing, and Tarby's Frame Game.

The longevity of Jimmy’s career mark him as one of the most successful entertainers currently working in the stand-up comedy market, his distinctive accent and comedic style have made him one of the most popular comedians of his generation.

Covid-19 Policy
On board, you can still enjoy everything that makes a Cunard holiday so special, and Cunard's crew have been pulling out all the stops, preparing to welcome you back in style. From the restaurants and bars to the cinema and theatre, pools and spas to gyms and shops, it’s all waiting for you.
With Cunard's new protocols in place, and while some aspects may initially feel a little different, these changes are designed to protect the health of everyone on board and in the destinations they visit, and they hope you will find these both reassuring and easy to adjust to.
On this page, we’ve outlined Cunard's necessary measures for their return to sailing, in line with current guidance, but as the world evolves so may their policies and procedures. Rest assured Cunard will continue to work with the government and scientific advisors to continually review their protocols so you can have an enjoyable and relaxing holiday.
New Protocols
For a long time Cunard have had in place many of the protocols now being observed by other social gathering venues on their ships, such as hand-sanitising stations and rigorous cleaning procedures. They have also gone beyond those protocols by asking guests to complete a Health Declaration form and having a comprehensive medical facility on board each ship providing 24/7 medical care and treatment; this will, of course, continue across the fleet.
Guest and crew well-being
Cunard are committed to delivering the highest standards of health, safety and well-being for their guests, crew and the wider communities they visit. To achieve this:
- Every area of the ship will be rigorously and regularly cleaned and sanitised
- Cunard will provide additional hand-sanitising stations
- Cunard have enhanced their on board ventilation systems to provide improved filtration and increased fresh air on board
- Cunard will adhere to approved, up-to-date guidance for every aspect of the holiday experience, including the mandatory use of face masks and social distancing, which will be in place in certain areas
- Cunard will be operating initially with a reduced occupancy on their ships to support their new protocols
- Crew will undergo a strict testing and quarantine regime as well as regular testing during their time on board
- Cunard have plans in place, tailored for each ship, to manage medical needs, including dedicated stateroom capacity for isolation, should this be required.
Vaccination and testing policy
For all cruises departing from 13 October to 31 December 2021, all guests 18 years old and over will be required to have completed their vaccination course a minimum of 14 days prior to sailing. All guests 17 years old and below will need to have completed their vaccination course a minimum 14 days prior to sailing or will require a negative PCR test within 72 hours prior to travel. All guests will also require a negative Covid-19 test at the terminal; both the PCR and Covid-19 test at the terminal will be complimentary. This vaccination and testing policy will be reviewed on a regular basis as the global situation continues to evolve.
At the time of travel, some ports of call may stipulate specific vaccine policies for guests going ashore that differ from this policy.
All other Cunard voyages on sale do not currently require guests to be vaccinated.
Proof of vaccination status
You’ll be required to show proof of your vaccination status at the terminal prior to boarding. This can be either in digital or printed format and must be an official certificate of vaccine status issued by your local health authority (e.g. NHS England). Please visit your relevant NHS or local health authority website for full details of how to obtain an official record of your vaccine status in advance of your holiday (please note that some authorities require up to 10 days to process applications to receive postal certificates). Guests in England can download the NHS app, register with your NHS number and photo ID and gain access to ‘share your Covid-19 status’ – this creates a unique QR code and certificate which proves your vaccine record. Please do this well in advance of travel as NHS app accounts can take up to 14 days to approve. Please note that the record card that is given out at the time of vaccination will not be accepted as proof of your vaccination status.
Unfortunately, failure to provide proof of vaccination at the terminal will result in denial of boarding at your own expense.
Whilst you are not required to take a test before you arrive at the terminal, we would recommend you follow the government's advice and test yourself regularly at home. If you were to test positive within 14 days of departure, you would need to call Cunard's Customer Contact Centre, and not travel to the terminal.
It is the responsibility of any guest travelling from The Common Travel Area to meet the ship to adhere to the local travel restrictions in and out of England.
